Each December, design powerhouse PANTONE® announces its pick for the leading colour in design for the coming year. In December 2023 Peach Fuzz was chosen, and on the 5th of December 2024 PANTONE® announces the 2025 Colour of the Year as Mocha Mousse.
Choosing the Colour of the Year

Colour of the Year 2025: Mocha Mousse
The Pantone Colour Institute describes Mocha Mousse, also known as PANTONE 17-1230, as a warming brown that evokes rich chocolate and coffee. Much like last year, one of the key themes experts came across when selecting the colour of the year was a quest for harmony and comfort. Whilst Peach Fuzz expresses kindness and caring with a lighter shade that evokes calmness and healing, Mocha Mousse progresses this quest for comfort into a richer and more indulgent shade.
