ToggleQ&A
What’s the inspiration behind the summer mood board you’ve created?
My mother was plant mad and our house was filled with plants. It was like living in a greenhouse, and definitely influenced my love of all things botanical.
What’s your favourite thing about summer?
All of it! l love the light evenings, al fresco eating, and summer printed dresses… I am just NOT a winter person at all!
Recommendations for blending inside and outside spaces?
I have always loved the idea of bringing the outdoors inside, and there is no better way than with pot plants and botanical prints which can really transform the feel of a room, creating a sense of wellbeing and calm. Use fabrics with plant prints in window treatments or wallpaper on a feature wall to instantly transform a room. Team this with shades of green on the wall and wicker furniture and you will really be transported into a tropical garden.
Do you have any designs inspired by summer, and what is the story behind them?
The September Meadow design is inspired by photographs that I took in a meadow in late summer in Cranbourne chase, Wiltshire. The evening golden light shone through all the flowers making them glow. I wanted to try & capture that beautiful moment with more prints.
What blinds/curtains designs would suit this style?
The Palm Leaf design is my first choice as it is really easy to live with even though it is quite bold. This new design is stunning and would work brilliantly as a curtain or roman blind as the design cascades from the top. If you want to go for a more obviously tropical feel the Tropical Leaves Moss would look fun- especially in a bathroom.
