Hot Off The Press: The Big Blue

June 3rd, 2016 in Hot Off The Press

We like to think that we have something for everyone here at Blinds 2go, and that’s why you’ll find our products in a wide range of magazines and newspapers. Obviously we’re in the big interior design publications, but sometimes we see ourselves in something more general, like a popular tabloid.

And that’s exactly where we found our Cardigan Stripe Blue Horizon roman blind – right in the middle of the Sunday Mirror’s weekly magazine, Notebook.

It’s a beautiful spread, isn’t it? Blue is a colour that can link us all the way from Spring to Winter, and layering up the tonal shades always feels right.

Notebook Magazine have created a quick guide to making the scheme work for you, with simple tips, hints and ideas to getting the look in an instant.

From the wall’s colour, to furniture, accessories and even the flooring, they’ve got it all covered so you can literally copy the room’s decor.

They suggest fitting roman blinds in the recess to take up less space and to save forking out for full height window curtains (let’s be honest, curtains look so much nicer when they fall all the way to the floor), and we have to agree with the suggestion. The beautiful folds and gorgeous soft fabrics, roman blinds are perfect for a scheme such as this. And of course, they only have to dress the window space, not the full wall.

They even have a moodboard of how to recreate the look for yourself. And that’s exactly where you’ll find us, right between the Bedsheet from La Redoute and Bedside Cabinet from Private Floor.

But of course, we wouldn’t want everyone’s homes looking the same, so here’s a few more designs that we think will suit the scheme too…

What do you think of the style? Is it something you’ll be pinning on your next Pinterest haul? Let us know, we’d love to hear your thoughts.
