Don’t worry, this is the last time we’re visiting Your Home magazine this month. It’s been an epic issue for us, with a total of 4 articles featuring our blinds, as well as the gorgeous Splash Gulls advert. And we haven’t even touched on any other of this month’s magazines in the Hot Off The Press series.
This week, we’re travelling to Cambridgeshire and taking a nosey through Elizabeth’s three bedroom semi.
Spreading across pages 32 to 34, Elizabeth is proud to show off her new home, the perfect mix of eccentric and cosy.
Along with the cost of moving, Elizabeth was expecting her first child, so the budget was a little stretched. She used a mixture of thrifty upcycles, second-hand buys and high street favourites to create the look. The feature mural now takes centre stage, and the mixture of greys and pastel tones makes it a cosy space.
And with such a large window, she needed a dressing that added both warmth and privacy. Along with handmade curtains from one of Scion’s plain fabrics, she opted for a white wooden blind with tapes.
Our range of real wooden blinds ensure that there’s something for any home or any scheme. Here’s two we think Elizabeth could have chosen…
The cotton tapes soften the look of the wooden slats, whilst the white colourway helps to pick up the other white pieces around the room, such as the period style radiator, the shabby chic chest of drawers and of course the upcycled wardrobe.
Elizabeth has thought out every part of this room and in turn has created a cosy retreat that she and her partner Helio can now enjoy.
If you’d like to recreate any part of this room, or just after some inspiration, here’s Elizabeth’s shopping list:
