Your Questions – Fabric Width for Curtains

October 7th, 2014 in All About Blinds

In case you didn’t know, we aren’t only Blinds 2go – we also have a whole different site, dedicated to both made to measure and ready made curtains over at Curtains 2go.

Our Q&A this week, courtesy of Alison, focuses on the different headings available and the fabric width required –

Alison asked:

“I want my curtains to have a pinch pleat heading, how wide do I need to order them to make sure they have enough gather?”

We answered:

Just tell us your pole width and we’ll work out the rest!

It really is that simple – to save you the hassle of trying to figure out just how much additional fabric we’ll need to use to create a beautiful gather for your curtains, we figure it all out for you.

Our double pinch pleat heading is created with twice as much material, as is our pencil pleat, to ensure that your curtains remain full and fabulous whether you have them open or closed.

Even our eyelet heading is made with one and a half times the material, to create the relaxed folds in the fabric.

So you really don’t have anything to worry about – just let us know the pole width and the drop that you want the curtains to reach and then we’ll do the rest for you, giving you time to relax and put your feet up while you wait for your curtains to be delivered right to your door!
