The Sevilla Pastel Blue roller blind is the perfect practical solution for a baby boy’s nursery. The blue is as pale as can be and will certainly help to create a calm and soothing environment for a little one.
This blind is blackout so just incredibly practical for a baby’s room when sleep is a prime concern. For a soft look at window it can be nice to also hang curtains, either fully functioning curtains or just a swathe of fabric for appearances. There are plenty of suggestions at the end of this post for colour ways in the room as well as cute and fun accessories.

Ladybirds LOVE my home and return each and every year. On a warm summers day the front of the house will be festooned with them and we have on occasion had to go inside as there is literally a blizzard of them in the garden. (In large numbers they really can be quite intimidating!)
In their honour here’s nine ladybird things for the ladybug lovers out there. And just so you don’t think I’ve entirely lost the plot there’s some red blinds for your delight, no spotty ones I’m afraid though.

Pink roller blinds at Blinds 2go

Take one blind :: Urban Blue roller blind (and go a bit retro)

Just what is retro? Well for a start it’s our Urban Blue roller blind but according to the Oxford Dictionary it’s also anything “imitative of a style from the recent past”. Retro comes from the French rétrograde, i.e. ‘retrograde’.
Lesson over and down to this roller blind, Urban Blue sports a series of coloured oblong shapes that contrast nicely with the soft white background. Most of the shapes are pale duck egg blue, but there are some that sparkle in silver and some that are a very dark navy blue. The rectangular shapes are reminiscent of furniture from the 50’s and 60’s which was sleek and long, hence the retro.
This blind will look great in any modern room, particularly one that’s decorated in cool silver, grey or blue. Kitchens and bathrooms will suit the look but equally in a minimalist living area Urban Blue could be the perfect finishing touch.

Country kitchens, think Aga ovens, Belfast sinks, scrubbed pine tables and worn terracotta flooring. But please, please, please forget dusty flowery curtains with swags!

Window blinds for sheds, garages, summer houses and out buildings

Most outbuildings not only house old tins of paint and rusting bikes but also expensive equipment like lawn mowers, power drills but also collections of tools that been lovingly built up over the years. If you own a garden office or summerhouse there will also be expensive gadgets and computers in there too. The least you can do is cover the windows so that passing people (ok then, thieves) can’t see all your goodies.
As your garden building is unlikely to be heated all of the time any window blind that goes up needs to be moisture resistant so that it will last against the elements. Your options include PVC, polyester or metal venetian blinds, all of these will stay looking great for a long time.
