It’s been a fair while since we had our curtains showcased in home decor magazines (about 3 years to be exact), which makes this month’s Hot Off The Press post all the more special. Part of a whopping 9 page spread in Good Homes Magazine, showing off Jane Brown’s gorgeous Victorian home, we’re excited to have been included in the piece. Jane has gone for the French theme, opting for romantic pieces, a muted colour palette and plenty of fancy details.
Now, even though this is a tour around a lovely reader’s home, you won’t actually find us in situ. Instead we’re recommended by Good Homes for recreating the look, and we think that’s an even bigger achievement. Jane’s house is absolutely stunning, and those luscious drapes finish off the room perfectly.
We usually suggest having your curtains draping to around 1.5cm above the floor, but all of the extra fabric in Jane’s pair adds to the drama and luxury of the scheme.
It may just be noting though that having curtains with the extra length, be weary of dragging them across the floor when you open and draw them, as this could damage the fabric with excessive use.
But that’s enough of the technicalities, let’s take a look at what makes these curtains for a sophisticated and luxurious choice.
The Shimmer Champagne curtains are a pale metallic choice, a lustrous fabric that hangs beautifully. And with the choice of three heading types, and three lining choices, it’s so easy to create the perfect pair for your home. That, and the fact that they’re fully made to measure.
