Hot Off The TV: George Clarke’s Old House, New Home

June 27th, 2016 in All About Blinds

It’s been a fair few years since we were last on the telly (other than with our advert), but last week we received some very exciting news. The house makeover featured in episode 3 of George Clarke’s ‘Old House, New Home’ had chosen one of our blinds as part of the transformation.

If you have an hour spare, you can watch the episode right here- www.channel4.com.

If not, don’t worry, we’ve got a round up.

Based in St Leonards on the Sea, Ben had a mammoth task of turning a sea front building into a gorgeous home. The windows needed complete restoration thanks to a bashing from the sea and a remodel of the current layout to create a study with opulent themes in mind.

And when Ben wanted opulent, he went all out to make it. The wallpaper is a mere £154 per roll from Ralph Lauren. And appears to have used quite a lot of it!
Whilst we wouldn’t be caught dead buying wallpaper that’s that expensive, we understand that sometimes doing things on a tighter budget doesn’t give the same effect as splashing out.

Which is why, with taste like his, we’re honoured that Ben knew that there was no need to waste money on expensive blinds when you can have great quality at fantastic prices at Blinds 2go!

Using our darkest real wood blind with tapes to dress the windows, the study is now a place for creative thinking and oozes with moody tones and a whole lot of texture!

Here’s a look at exactly what he used to create the look:

Of course, we promised you a round up of the entire episode, so here’s how the rest of Ben’s apartment turned out…
