Feature Friday :: Arthur Johnson auction house

March 9th, 2012 in The Best of the Rest

A couple of weeks ago I blogged about Atomic Interiors in the centre of Nottingham. Well it turns out that everyone knew about its existence bar me!

The same has happened this week… everyone knew about the Arthur Johnson weekly auction too.

Held on a Saturday at the Cattle Market on Meadow Lane, the auction house is full to the brim with both antique, traditional and contemporary furniture. I saw everything from kitchen units, to wooden Buddhas, dusty oil paintings and some rather marvellous furniture made out of an old boat. The auction itself is very relaxed and the auctioneers banter makes it all the more fun.

A great place to visit on a Saturday, particularly if you’re in the ‘market’ for some furniture. Ho ho ho.

My home is my passion, I love to search for inspiration on decorating ideas, tips and hints for keeping things clean and tidy and great recipes to try out. When I'm not trawling through Pinterest or the Blogosphere, you can find me outside, usually running around with my dogs- I'm not sure which of us enjoy the walks more!
