Fashion Colour Report Spring 2014 by Pantone®

November 5th, 2013 in Trends

It’s difficult to believe but 2014 is just around the corner. That means the designers are hard at work on their spring collections. Over at Pantone, they’ve given us a little sneak peek into the colour palettes the big designers will be using next year.

This year, it’s all about balancing soft with bright and using pastels like Placid Blue, Violet Tulip, Hemlock and Sand as a base for brighter, more vivid shades such as Cayenne, Freesia and Celosia Orange.

Finding an equilibrium is always a challenge, whether in the fashion industry or in the home. Leatrice Eiseman, Executive Director of Pantone Colour puts it best when she says:

“This season, consumers are looking for a state of thoughtful, emotional and artistic equilibrium. While this need for stability is reflected in the composition of the palette, the inherent versatility of the individual colors allows for experimentation with new looks and color combinations.”

We completely agree and with lots of colours on offer over at Blinds 2go, why not start your own experiments right now?

About the author

I'm the newest member of the blinds 2go blog team. I've been really enjoying researching and hunting some amazing things to post! I love books (read The Road by Cormac McCarthy, you won't regret it!), pigs (oink oink!) and drinking tea (who doesn't?!). The quirky things in life make me happy and I really love everything about the colour red.
