Damask Blinds and Curtains

by Anna on July 3, 2012

Damask designs have been around since the Middle Ages, they first appeared near Damascus in Syria, hence the name. Traditionally damask designs are double-sided so the rear of the fabric is the inverse of the fabric at the front, modern day fabrics tend to give the illusion of damask but still feature a ‘motif’ design.

Here at Blinds 2go we have a huge selection of damask inspired designs so if it’s damask that you’re after you’ve found the right place! Go take a look at the damask designs in our roman blind, roller blind and curtain collections.

Damasks are often used to create a formal sumptuous feel and we certainly have some fabrics in rich colours or with metallic touches that will help achieve this. There are also some modern neutral tones that will suit rooms styled with a more contemporary feel.

Great information on damask. Thank you for sharing with us. Are your stores purely online or do you have physical stores?

Hi
We are just online but we do have a sample service so that customers can see and feel the fabric or slat before they buy.
Thank you for your interest. Anna
