We all love a good mooch around other people’s homes, it’s in our nature. But what if you could take a look around some of your favourite celebrities and take inspiration from within?
We’ve gathered a couple of the best properties from House & Home, and broke them down so you can steal their style.
J-Law has certainly got the glamourous look down to a tee. There’s lighting in absolutely every corner of this spacious bathroom, from the gorgeous chandelier, to the spotlighting and even above the cupboards. The whole space is given a softening down with the neutral roman blind over the window. Try our Arbol Biscuit Beige roman blind to recreate the look.
Amy Schumer is known for her no nonsense, quirky personality and this certainly shows through in her apartment. The neutral and blue combo makes for a cosy scene and a plain neutral roman blind lets the light flood into the bedroom during the day. Get a similar look with our Harrow Warm Stone roman blind.
With such interesting architecture and vibrant artwork, keeping the rest of the decor neutral is key for Cate Blanchett. We love how the naturals are of varying shades though; white walls, oak flooring, dark marble column, chocolate leather seats. and the way the curtains just drape on the floor feels ever so glamorous. Remake the style with our Velvet Soft Cream curtains.
Finally, we take a trip to Tina Fey’s gorgeous New York bedroom. There’s plenty of white but surprisingly, the room doesn’t feel too cold. Maybe it’s the soft blue textiles, or the great wooden furniture that expands along the wall and peeps through from under that rug. And the addition of pattern and pale colour at the windows rounds the look off nicely. These Emily Mauve curtains are the perfect choice for recreating the look.
So when it comes to discovering the best of celebrity style, it seems that they’re not too many worlds apart from our own. They’re great lovers of neutral and wide, light spaces are a staple part of the home. Large rugs also feature heavily, with subtle patterns adding interest in unlikely places.
There’s no doubt we’ll be visiting a few more celeb homes soon, but for now, whose homes to do take inspiration from? Let us know in the comments and we might feature it in the future.
