New blinds :: patterned roller blinds
Posted by Anna in Blinds, Roller blinds on July 30th, 2010
Just look what we have here? A brand new collection of patterned roller blinds, and there are patterns and colours for all tastes and styles.
If you fancy something traditional, take a look at the Bohemia Black or Acanthus Frosted Truffle. Need to keep it light and breezy? You really must sneak a peek at Summer Garden Bourton or maybe Ribbons Honeydew. As for making a statement, Mischa Platinum and Summer Garden Abbotsbury have plenty of character. Of course you may be in need of just a subtle touch, in that case Aurora Ice White or Clarion Agate White are just the ticket.
I’m looking forward to introducing you in detail to some of our new blinds over the coming weeks, in the meantime just click here to take a look…

Take one blind :: Salina Orange roller blind
Posted by Anna in Bedroom, Blinds, Home office, House stuff, Lounge, Roller blinds on April 7th, 2010
The Salina Orange roller blind bursts with vibrancy, the orange flower heads stand out against the neutral background and up close it’s easy to see linen like texture. This blind so endearing and it will cheer up the gloomiest day.
For the brave orange isn’t an accent colour it’s a bold wall or large piece of furniture, maybe for the rest of us however we feel safer using it as a punchy highlight. The beauty of the Salina Orange roller blind is that it will work well in both settings helping to tie the design together.
Here are three rooms that would all look sensational with the Salina Orange roller blind. (By the way if you love the pattern but the orange isn’t quite right then why not take a look at the Salina Black in glorious mono.)

9 ladybird accessories with red roller blinds to match
Posted by Anna in 9 of ..., Gadgets, Garden, House stuff, Roller blinds, kitchen on March 22nd, 2010
Ladybirds LOVE my home and return each and every year. On a warm summers day the front of the house will be festooned with them and we have on occasion had to go inside as there is literally a blizzard of them in the garden. (In large numbers they really can be quite intimidating!)
In their honour here’s nine ladybird things for the ladybug lovers out there. And just so you don’t think I’ve entirely lost the plot there’s some red blinds for your delight, no spotty ones I’m afraid though.
As promised!

Blinds 2go top picks :: Ocean Alpine White Roller Blind
Posted by Anna in Blinds, Roller blinds on March 19th, 2010
This is a favourite of someone from our all important ‘back-office’, they’re the people that make sure that the website runs smoothly. This is a non-nonsense functional and practical blind, it’s the Ocean Alpine White Roller Blind.
I like this blind because it’s pretty much the only solution for a window that’s close to a shower. I once lived in a house which had a window over the bath. The shower wasn’t separate so the window used to get covered in water. Wish I had know about PVC roller blinds then!

Take one blind :: Urban Blue roller blind (and go a bit retro)
Posted by Anna in House stuff, Roller blinds, Take one blind, kitchen on February 9th, 2010
Just what is retro? Well for a start it’s our Urban Blue roller blind but according to the Oxford Dictionary it’s also anything “imitative of a style from the recent past”. Retro comes from the French rétrograde, i.e. ‘retrograde’.
Lesson over and down to this roller blind, Urban Blue sports a series of coloured oblong shapes that contrast nicely with the soft white background. Most of the shapes are pale duck egg blue, but there are some that sparkle in silver and some that are a very dark navy blue. The rectangular shapes are reminiscent of furniture from the 50’s and 60’s which was sleek and long, hence the retro.
This blind will look great in any modern room, particularly one that’s decorated in cool silver, grey or blue. Kitchens and bathrooms will suit the look but equally in a minimalist living area Urban Blue could be the perfect finishing touch.
If you’re inspired by the retro leanings of this blind then look out for formica, g plan furniture, vinyl and of course Miss Wong Tretchikoff. For retro buys and ideas try Vintage Retro, Retro Decades, and Retro to go. Here’s some images to inspire but hopefully not frighten you!

The choice of roller blinds at Blinds 2go just got even wider. We listened to our customers and were told fairly clearly that they wanted scallop blinds. So here we are, we’ve taken our popular plain roller blind range and created a new range of scallop blinds in all the popular colours.
The scalloped blind gives is a traditional look that will suit the styles of many homes. The edge of the blind has a coordinating satin braided hem that gives the blind a lovely finishing touch. We use a quality fabric and the blind is easy to trim to size and fit.
We have over ten colours available so order today and your blind will be with you in the blink of an eye. Remember we have an excellent next day sample service too.
