Blinds 2go at Nottingham Goose Fair

October 5th, 2013 in The Best of the Rest

Here at the Blinds 2go office we had a little treat recently, with a trip out to the Nottingham Goose fair. One of the oldest and most prestigious fairs in the UK, it dates back over 700 years, starting off as a trade fair and taking its name from the large flock of geese that had to be driven from Lincoln to Nottingham to be sold. In recent years the fair has evolved into a fantastic funfair for all the family, complete with rides, games, stalls and plenty of delicious food. Like the many other fairs taking place around the country at this time of year, there’s a wide array of tasty treats on offer. From traditional pork rolls to sweet, sugary doughnuts, the local delicacy of mushy peas with mint sauce to gorgeous, fluffy candyfloss. The sights and smells of all these delectable delights even reminded us of a few of our blinds – our brand new and exclusive Macintosh roller blind that we think looks just like a delicious toffee apple.
