Thank you so much to a very happy Blinds 2go customer for sending us this fantastic photo of her daughter’s bedroom featuring her newly purchased blinds.
The double aspect room looks absolutely gorgeous with neutral walls and accessories in pink and soft green. The windows have been treated to Nautica Hornfleur roman blinds in pink and green with blackout lining and Parchment White and Chalk wooden blinds.
The room is quite over-looked so I wanted to be able to quickly close a blind for privacy hence the wooden blind but really wanted softness at the window too, hence the roman blind. It’s a lot of blinds but it looks fab and my daughter loves it!

The Design Seeds blog is an absolute wonder. It features palette after inspiring palette of beautiful colours.
There is a fantastic tool too which allows you to drag the ‘RGB’ sliders and find a host of palettes featuring a particular colour.
For obvious reasons ‘artichoke hues’ caught my eye (its purple). Go forth and lose yourself for ten minutes (or more) in a sea of colour.
Could it be magic? It most certainly is!

The blog over the last few weeks has been a feast of thermal blinds, penguins (our big winter sale) and generally keeping warm! Spring isn’t here yet but the sun has put us all in a good mood, which calls for a lovely sunny blind. Like the Margarita Citrus Roller Blind for instance.
p.s. I know I’m getting ahead of myself when it’s going to be -4 degrees at the weekend!
Hot on the heels of our Duotherm energy saving blinds are their close relation the Duolight thermal blind!
The key difference between the two blinds is that the Duotherm are blackout and the Duolight are light diffusing. The Duotherm is also the more energy efficient choice thanks to its aluminium lined core.
So why choose the Duolight instead of the Duotherm? The combination of thermal benefits and light diffusing fabric makes it ideal for rooms that need shading in the daytime. Seeing is believing, these blinds look fabulous with the light behind them and the gently filtered light gives rooms a beautiful glow. (The duotherm would completely block the light.)
Obviously Duolight will protect privacy too so they are ideal for over-looked rooms. In the evening these blinds will also act as a thermal barrier at the window.
